D6 is a modular typeface born from an obsession with six-sided dice and the search for expressive tools in the everyday. It is a digital file, but also a set of letters that can be physically constructed using dice.

1. EL CONCEPTO
1. CONCEPT
El desafío fue equilibrar la legibilidad con la cantidad de dados usados. ¿Cuál es el menor módulo que me permite crear un alfabeto entero y legible?

Esta tipografía de dudosa legibilidad, que mejora con el tiempo, ajuste y control de las distancias. Es un reto para los diseñadores.

The challenge was to balance legibility with the number of dice used. What is the smallest module that allows for the creation of a complete and legible alphabet?

This typeface, of questionable legibility, improves over time through adjustment and control of spacing. It presents a challenge for designers.





2. LAS PALABRAS

3. EL ALFABETO Y LAS LETRAS

4. EL MÓDULO
4. THE MODULEEs un módulo dentro de otro módulo. Cada cara, su posición y la cantidad de puntos determinan las formas posibles de generar letras. El cuatro y el seis son rectas, el cinco cruces y los dos y tres diagonales. El uno son espacios en blanco. El resultado son letras de doble línea y robustas.

It is a module within another module. Each face, its position, and the number of pips determine the possible ways of generating letters. The four and the six form straight lines, the five forms crosses, and the two and three form diagonals. The one functions as blank space. The result is a set of robust, double-line letters.
